Prospective students and their families are invited to attend the Elmira College Fall Open House from 9:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21. The event provides you with an in-depth look at what makes Elmira College a top-tier national liberal arts college.
During the event, you’ll have a chance to attend several events highlighting how Elmira provides clear pathways to successful careers by emphasizing hands-on learning and professional skill development. For example, at the Co-Curricular and Academic Fair, faculty will share details about the 30-plus majors and minors that you can choose from. Athletics coaches will be on hand, and faculty will prepare interactive demonstrations to show you how EC incorporates experiential learning into the curriculum.
You’ll also have a chance to talk with Admissions counselors about the application process during an Admissions Overview, followed by a chance to ask current students about EC’s sports facilities, residence halls, and other aspects of campus life. The formal program ends with a chance for you to experience lunch in the Campus Center Dining Hall.
Interested in math and science? Join the Math and Science faculty for an overnight event. You’ll participate in focused sessions and spend the night in a residence hall with a current EC student. Click here to register.
Interested in Theatre? You can audition for one of EC’s Theatre Scholarships in Performance or Production. Click here to register for a 15-minute audition on Friday, October 20, or Saturday, October 21.
Want to add some fun to the trip? Stay for an Intrasquad Men’s Basketball Game at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, in the Speidel Gymnasium.
